Young Mother Mum sold newborn twins for £7,400 to buy a new phone.

A mother sold her newborn twin babies for £7,400 to pay of her credit card bills and buy a mobile phone. She is in her twenties, sold the boys to two different families who lived more than 430 miles away from their eastern China hometown. They were born premature and needed to be kept in incubators after they were born last September, but at around two weeks old they were sold. (more…)

Almost 300,000 passengers have their travel plans cancelled as British Airways pilots are on strike for the first time in 100-year history.

Almost 300,000 passengers have had their travel plans plunged into chaos today as British Airways pilots walked out on strike for the first time in the British flag-carrier’s 100-year history.

The airline announced the cancellation of ‘almost 100 per cent’ of its 1,700 scheduled flights after British Airline Pilots Association (Balpa) staff downed tools at midnight in a long-running row over pay and perks. They will not return to work until Wednesday. (more…)

Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe ex-president, dies aged 95.

Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe’s first post-independence leader, has died aged 95.

His family confirmed his death to the BBC. Mr Mugabe had been receiving treatment in a hospital in Singapore since April.

Mr Mugabe was ousted in a military coup in 2017 after 37 years in power.

Mr Mugabe’s early years were praised for broadening access to health and education for the black majority – but his later years were marked by rights abuses and corruption. (more…)

Prior to 1994, immigrants from elsewhere faced discrimination and even violence in South Africa. After majority rule in 1994, contrary to expectations, the incidence of xenophobia increased. Between 2000 and March 2008, at least 67 people died in what were identified as xenophobic attacks.  May 2008, 62 people dead, several hundred injured, voluntary deportation of immigrants to home countries, destruction of immigrant-owned property. A woman in Mexico is thanking her lucky stars this week after she survived an 80-foot fall from a 6th-floor balcony while posing for “extreme yoga” photos. The incident occurred on Saturday in the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. A 23-year-old college student Alexa Terrazas was hanging upside down on the railing of the balcony while supporting her body with her bent legs when she lost her balance and plummeted to the ground below. Rapist Dad got his blind daughter pregnant after mum’s death.

A RAPIST dad has been arrested for reportedly getting his blind 14-year-old daughter pregnant just months after the teen’s mum died of cancer.

The little girl gave birth to a baby girl, DNA tests proved he was the father before police swooped on the property and hauled him into a cell. His teenage daughter, who has not been named, had earlier left school claiming she was too ill to attend classes. (more…)
